A series born by accidentally pouring molten wax into water. The wax set, often producing uncannily suggestive bits of gruesome human anatomy, plants and creatures. After doing hundreds of separate pours, I selected the most extreme and unlikely wax components. Each sculpture consists of circa 20 separate pieces, selectively "edited" together. The finished waxes were vacuum investment cast in brass in Hastings, before polishing to a high lustre. The forms, merely capturing immediate solidification of wax in water do seem to suggest that living things are merely born of physics.
